Cardiovascular Training

Purpose:

To demonstrate safe technique and efficient use of equipment designed for cardiovascular training

Competencies:

Mounting, dismounting, body alignment and placement, proportion adjustments and actual technique and tension adjustment

Monitoring:

Heart rate specific to modality, heart rate monitoring, perceived exertion and talk test

Protocol:

To demonstrate the competencies in one of the following machines including treadmill, bicycle, stair climbing and rowing machines
