Yoga for Athletes Workshop
Description
This course will involve the practice of specific postures and explain how they benefit athletes in specific sports. This course will also enhance the general understanding of the benefits of yoga for the average individual. This Workshop will also discuss the requirements for the logged practice teaching and final Examination.
Pre-requisites:
- Advanced Yoga Theory and Teaching Techniques Workshop.
- 10 hours of taking yoga classes or teaching yoga in a class or personal training format.
Requirements:
- Yoga mat
- Pen, pencil, pencil etc...
- Lunch (or cash for lunch, there will be a 1 hour break)
Course Instructor

Mike Chapman, CPTN-CPT, CPTN-CYS, RYT
Mike Chapman is owner and head instructor of Breathe Into Motion Yoga Studios. He is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPTN-CPT), a Certified Yoga Instructor registered with the Yoga Alliance (RYT), and a Certified Yoga Specialist including Yoga for Athletes (CPTN-CYS). Mike is faculty for the Certified Professional Trainers Network (CPTN), certifying trainers and athletes in the CPTN Yoga Specialist Program and a presenter at the annual CPTN conference. Mike has studied over 200 hours of yoga under Ashtanga Yoga Masters; David Williams, Danny Paradise, David Swenson, Eoin Finn, Angela Jamison, Nicky Doane, and Ed Modestini. Mike has also studied over 200 hours of yoga under Yoga for Athletes Specialist and Ironman Triathlete Caron Shepley, and Hatha Yoga expert Carolyn Weatherson.
